In the mid-1960s, after studying electrical engineering, Rüdiger Gehrke joined his father, Heinrich Gehrke, in Allersberg and founded the "electrical department" with products such as: Telephone handsets, babysitter systems, intercom systems with the "GEAFON" logo.
this was followed in 1972 by the development and production of analogue intercom stations, in 1982 the first microprocessor-controlled intercom system family "multicom" was introduced, in 2002 the digital communication server "multiswitch" and digital intercom stations, in 2003 the building management system "webnet-gms".
Over the course of time, HGA Gehrke Sprechtechnik GmbH & Co KG (HGA = Heinrich Gehrke Allersberg) became Gehrke Kommunikationssysteme GmbH, also based in Allersberg.
At the beginning of 2013, Harald Weber - an industry expert and convinced intercom specialist - founded the sales company Gehrke Sales GmbH in Düsseldorf, with the aim of increasingly marketing and further developing the products of the "multicom/multiswitch" series, produced by Gehrke Kommunikationssysteme.
Gehrke Sales GmbH took over the brand rights, development, customer care and support and also organised the seamless continuation of production of the existing products.
At the same time, the development of a unique intercom system was driven forward, which is based on artificial neural networks and offers customers maximum customisation options for their intercom systems. With the NeuroKom® IP system, Gehrke Sales GmbH is the first company to utilise neural communication methods and serverless intercom systems in security communication.
The principle utilises network technology as the basis for voice communication, control and monitoring without losing compatibility with existing intercom technologies or customer solutions. This system is characterised by its "neuronal" organisation without a control centre. This means that there is no "single point of failure", which makes the flexibly expandable NeuroKom® IP solutions extremely reliable. The intelligence of the system lies in the end devices that communicate directly with each other. The serverless solutions are suitable for different areas of application, building sizes and communication tasks.
Construction of a factory for plastic moulding with mould construction in Allersberg (Franconia). Managed by Heinrich Gehrke, initially still from Hamburg.
After studying electrical engineering, Rüdiger Gehrke joined the company and founded the "E" department for electrical engineering. The first electronic devices were created.
Gehrke's first "intercom systems" under Heinrich Gehrke: telephone handsets, miniature intercom systems, babysitter systems, "GEAFON" design
The HGA (Heinrich Gehrke Allersberg) logo takes shape and becomes a brand.
The first analogue intercom stations are manufactured.
Presentation and introduction of the first microprocessor-controlled intercom system family.
From the various preliminary stages of the multicom series, the multicom 3000 system is presented as the lead product for projects and takes over the major part of intercom sales.
The sale of the plastics department enables a substantial remodelling of the building and at the same time the conversion of production into a pure intercom production facility.
Preparation of a completely new development, away from analogue to digital technology, product launch of the first "freely" programmable intercom system "multiswitch 4000".
webnet-gms, Gehrke's own building management system, is presented.
Focus on industry-specific products.
- "viscon" a PLC-like I/O system
- "Gercom" for court buildings
- "Liftcom" solutions for lifts
- "Police" complete solutions, analogue/digital radio switching
- "Zellcom" everything for prisons etc. ..
Reorganisation of the company into Gehrke Sales GmbH and outsourcing of the production processes.
Presentation and market launch of NeuroKom® IP, a completely new intercom system that works entirely without central intelligence and therefore requires no control centre, server or cloud.
NeuroKom® IP has now become the favoured solution for many architects, planners, system integrators and installers. It has already been implemented hundreds of times due to its reliability and ease of installation and use.
